Mr Alun Wall, FRCS (Tr & Orth)

Mr Wall’s expertise includes general orthopaedic and trauma surgery, and musculoskeletal injuries including whiplash type injuries.

His clinical specialty is lower limb surgery with a particular interest in hip, involving hip fractures, simple and complex hip trauma, hip replacement, hip reconstructive surgery, hip arthroscopy, soft tissue reconstruction of the hip and robotic hip surgery.

In addition he holds expertise in knee fractures, simple and complex knee trauma, knee arthroscopy, young adult hip and knee conditions, and sports injuries of the hip and knee.

Mr Wall’s sub-specialist interests are hip joint replacement, both primary and revision, and conditions of the hip affecting younger individuals including hip impingement and sports injuries of the hip. Mr Wall is trained in using open and keyhole surgery techniques to treat these conditions along with cutting edge non-invasive techniques. Mr Wall also performs primary knee joint replacement and keyhole surgery of the knee. In addition, he has a keen interest in hip fracture surgery.
